Bylaws & History
The Hamptons Southeast Edmonton Homeowners Association (commonly referred to as The Hamptons HOA) is a non-profit organization incorporated under the Societies Act. Our purpose is to maintain the neighborhood's common areas, including fences, flower beds, and park spaces.
The full legal name, "The Hamptons Southeast Edmonton Homeowners Association," was chosen by the original developer to distinguish our community from other "Hamptons" neighborhoods across the province. This designation reflects our location within the southeast portion of the developer's original land block. For convenience, we use the abbreviated name "The Hamptons HOA."
In 2011, the developer established a community committee to facilitate the transition of governance. The first Board of Directors for The Hamptons HOA was elected at the 2012 Annual General Meeting, and the first HOA fees were collected in 2013.

Design Guides
The neighbourhood design guidelines were established to address various aspects of design, from building setbacks and height restrictions to landscaping requirements and architectural styles, influencing the overall look and feel of The Hamptons. Homeowners within The Hamptons are expected to consider these guidelines when planning new construction or renovations, ensuring that projects align with the vision for an attractive and functional community.

Shingle Specifications
At the 2023 Annual General Meeting, homeowners voted to approve additional shingle options for the neighborhood. The original approved shingle is no longer manufactured. While the IKO Cambridge Style in Weatherwood was previously an accepted alternative, the community expressed a desire for more choices, including shingles with varying warranty periods.

Fence Painting
The Hamptons HOA conducts an annual fence maintenance program to repair and refinish all fences bordering major roadways, pathways, and the neighborhood perimeter. This ongoing maintenance program enhances the longevity of our fences and preserves the visual appeal of The Hamptons, which contributes to increased property values.
Homeowners are responsible for painting the interior side of any repaired sections to match the neighborhood fence color.
Maintaining your fence is essential for maximizing your home's value, especially when selling. We encourage all homeowners to partner with The Hamptons HOA in this effort.
The official Hamptons fence stain color is Burnished Pewter (Cloverdale #8327) or equivalent.
